“A” can have a sound like cake or cat.
“A” can have a sound like bait or bat.
“E” can have a sound like bee or bet.
“E” can have a sound like knee or net.
“I” can have a sound like lie or limb.
“I” can have a sound like high or him.
“O” can have a sound like hope or hop.
“O” can have a sound like note or knot.
“U” can have a sound like cute or cut.
“U” can have a sound like chute or shut.
“Y” sounds like a long “E” or “I”
We have baby, wavy, gravy, daisy, bye, why, and fly.
So open your mouth and say your vowels in time:
A, E, I, O, U and sometimes Y.

ŏ ū ŭ are the vowels sounds I know.
